This or That?!

The word is: Trade-off

According to Wikipedia, A trade-off (or tradeoff) is a situation that involves losing one quality or aspect of something in return for gaining another quality or aspect. It implies a decision to be made with full comprehension of both the upside and downside of a particular choice.

As the earth is still turning around on its axle and the sun is still shining above your head, thus everyday everywhere and everytime there always gonna be many choices crossing in front your eyes, ready to be choosed. Sometimes, the final choices you've made was not based on your solely discretion. Your families, your friends, your environment, etc. had just put their opinion and influenced you.

You may have to choose between accepting the first job offered to you and continuing your study. You may have to choose for living alone at the town over staying at your hometown. You may have to choose whether fighting for the one that you love the most or giving up for your parent's candidate(s). You may have to choose between a prestigious-well paid-stressfully job and a so so- lower paid-controllable job.

Those.. are a trade-off, it's simply happens when you're facing the two and/or more choices with its all pluses and minuses inside them.
In fact, the life that you live today is the outcome of the choices that you've made before. And the life that you will be living at in the near future will be exactly the reflection of the choices that you make today. So be wise, cause your life is in your hand.

on Duty

It was 10 o'clock in the morning, i nervously entered into one of the highest building in this town. After had a security check and wrote down my name on the guess list, I let my eyes looked around into the whole lobby, searching for some information that I needed until finally caught a black stainless board which gave me a clearly information "Syndication Bank Presentation on 3rd Fl". That's it!

I moved myself toward to the lift, but initiatively slowed down my step in order to saw my appearance at a glance on the big mirror I'm passing by. I put all of my confident on an off white blouse, a brown pencil skirt plus blazer combined with 5 cm heels. So bankers look a like anyway.

Since it was not my first time for attending that kind of occasion, thus I should not be nervous, right? But wait, on the previous one, I was attended it with two other seniors, while on that day I was alone. It was just me myself who represented my company (my manager was having business trip out of the town while my leader head was having another lunch meeting on that day).

The participants on that occasion were mainly offshore bankers came from Singapore and Hong Kong branches, while the onshore bankers with the indigenous face like me was not really much. And I HAVE TO MAKE A COURTESY CONVERSATION AND GET MINGLE WITH THEM ALL. *Dear God, where are You? I'm really suck on this 'basa-basi' thing!*

Well, the show must go on..

I introduced myself to whosoever they are, tried to get into the conversation they had, and spread out my business card. This mingle session was taken almost one hour before finally entering the major session, The Syndication Bank Presentation itself that taken for another one hour onward.

Finished with those ceremonial, I prepared myself to take a leave when suddenly a mature-western face-man came by and say 'Hi' to me. He hit me with the big Q which commonly asked on this syndication event: "Would your company join on this syndication?" And the only diplomatic answer that I had was: "Well Sir, I am afraid that I couldn't give you an answer right now since I have to discuss it first with my team and our credit committee, but I'll return to you as soonest for our commitment advice." "Yes sure. Just let me know if you have any further queries." He said.

He shake my hand, say goodbye and just let me get some fresh air outside.

En(d)joy Jakarta!

It's three days in a row, the traffic at Setiabudi is just like hell!
Office-dormitory that should be takes only ten up to fifteen minutes by
cab become a damn forty minutes to one hour driving! The traffic is
sooo stuck. Just like my heart. Lol. I don't know whether it is due to the
blockade access from Jalan Sudirman to Jalan Dr. Satrio for fly over
project or just because "it's Jakarta, dude! Where the hell have you
been??" Jakarta and the traffic are just like the envelope and the stamp,
unseparatedly. Thus, you are very pleased to en(d)joy Jakarta.

Live it up!!

After these twenty five years..

After seeing people walked in and out of my life..

After saying ‘have done been there’ for the things i shouldn’t regret and letting go some old stuff i couldn’t rewind..

I have my own perspective about life.

"Life is not a 90 minutes Disney movie which always bring the same sweetest story that the princess will be eventually live happily ever after with the prince charming. In a real life, sometimes you are too busy for chasing someone that really just not that into you, and stupidly avoiding someone that really cares of you. It is called as a 'circle of phantom', and it will be spinning around you for the rest of your life if you never let yourself out of it."

"Life is not driving smoothly on the highways. It is a hard bumpy ways you have to take, and it will definitely make your body moves up and down. Just hang on, drive safely, stay focus to your direction and keep your wheels raced! Then you'll get what you're deserved."

"Life is not a box of crayon. One day, you will find your day painted by bright-shinning-shimmering colors mixed, while on the other day the only color you have is just black."

"Life is not a shallow-predictable ending-story that you could easily found on the cheap magazine. Every paths you’ve taken, every traces you’ve left and every sacrifices you’ve made to get yourself into another step of your life had always come up with a worthless lesson learned that shaped you as you are today."

"Life is not a fake 'made in china' bag. Instead, life is so real. You may fake your whole relationships, but could you fake the love? You may fake your wrinkles, but could you fake your age? You may fake a smile, but could you fake the scratch? You may fake the world, but deep down your heart you just know the truth."

"Life is not sitting lazily in your comfort sofa and waiting the money to come. Just put your ass off and get your hands your legs and your brain utilized! Unless you are merry to the Richie Rich."

"Life will be finally not yours anymore when the only change you have is taking your last breath."
